Dog Walking & Pet Sitting in Cary, NC
A full workday is a long time for a dog to sit and wait. If you leave Cary early for RTP, Raleigh or Durham and get home after dark, your dog spends most of that day by the door, and you feel it every time you pull into the driveway. That is the part we fix. Peak City Puppy has been walking Triangle dogs since 2008, so we know what a midday break does for a dog that has been home alone since breakfast.
Call or text 919-367-7387, or book a Meet & Greet.
Our walkers and sitters cover the whole town, from Lochmere and MacGregor Downs to Preston, Amberly and Carpenter Village. Families have given us 4.9 stars across 432 Google reviews. Your dog sees the same Cary walkers and sitters each week, people who live close by, not whoever an app happens to send that afternoon.
Everyone who walks your dog is a Peak City Puppy employee on W-2, background checked, trained, bonded and insured. Nobody is squeezing your walk in between other app jobs. Our team does this work because they love dogs and take the responsibility seriously. Tell us about your dog and we’ll build a plan around your week.

Once you sign up, your dog gets 1 to 2 primary walkers, so the same faces show up at your door. A backup team covers sick days, vacations and emergencies, and your dog still gets walked. You never have to line up a fill-in yourself.
Every visit is tracked by GPS in the Time to Pet app, and your walker sends a text and a photo when the visit is done. You can see the route, how long your dog was out and how happy they look after it. The same app is where you book or change visits, check invoices and pay. Weekend and holiday visits are there when you need them.
Pet Sitting and Cat Sitting in Cary
Going out of town for work or a long weekend away? Our in-home pet sitting in Cary keeps your pets at home on their own schedule, and overnight pet sitting puts a sitter in your house at night. Visits are $24, $28 or $33 for 15, 20 or 30 minutes, for dogs, cats and multi-pet homes. Overnights start at $149. We feed your pets the way you like, give medication if needed, walk the dogs, bring in the mail, water the plants and take the trash cans down. Our sitters live within five miles of the neighborhoods they cover, so help is close by if anything comes up.
Some dogs do better with a person around day and night. For them we offer boarding in a sitter’s home, never a kennel. Bringing home a puppy? Our new puppy care covers the extra potty breaks, training practice and socializing young dogs need. And we sit for cats in Cary too, with the same attention, even if your cat would rather we just left the food and went.
Why Cary Pet Parents Choose Peak City Puppy
The biggest difference between us and apps like Rover or Wag is who shows up. With an app, the person at your door can change from one week to the next. Our walkers are W-2 employees who see the same families week after week, and our average team member has been here 2.9 years. Your dog learns who to expect, and that person learns your dog.
Every person on the team passes a background check before they ever hold a leash. We’re bonded and insured, and our walkers are trained in dog handling, behavior and emergency response. Cary families and their neighbors across the Triangle have given us 4.9 stars in 432 Google reviews.
More than 400 Triangle families use us right now. There’s no contract and no long-term commitment, and you can cancel anytime. What you get is a team that shows up on time and pays attention to your dog.
Cary Neighborhoods We Serve
We walk dogs and sit pets all over Cary, including Lochmere, MacGregor Downs, Preston, Amberly, Carpenter Village, Cary Park, Regency, Wellsley, Highcroft and Copperleaf. Our walkers live nearby, so they know the streets, the greenway entrances and the quieter loops close to your house.
That covers the Cary zip codes 27511, 27513, 27518 and 27519. Not sure if your street is included? Send us your address and we’ll check. We can often help right up to the edges of our area.
Cary Dog-Friendly Spots Our Walkers Love
Most Cary walks stay close to home, on your neighborhood sidewalks and the greenway paths your dog already knows. Our walkers also know the town’s favorite dog spots, like the trails at Fred G. Bond Metro Park, the Black Creek Greenway, Robert V. Godbold Park and Jack Smith Park.
Every walk is on a 4 to 6 foot leash, never a retractable one. Our walkers don’t go up to other dogs or people while they have your dog. If another dog is coming, they cross the street, take a different route or wait until it passes. That keeps the walk calm and predictable. You can read more about how we keep your dog safe on every walk.
How Dog Walking Works in Cary
Step one is your Meet & Greet. We learn about your dog’s personality, energy level, quirks and routine, and what you want from a walking service. You meet the people who will walk your dog, ask anything you like and decide if we’re the right fit. There’s no pressure to sign up.
Step two, we match your dog with a walking team: 1 to 2 primary walkers plus backup coverage. Your dog gets familiar faces and the walk doesn’t get skipped. After that, every visit comes with GPS tracking and photo updates, so you know your dog went out, got some exercise and was looked after.
The whole thing runs through the Time to Pet app, so your schedule, updates and invoices live in one place. Book 20 or more walks a month and every walk is 10% off.
Frequently Asked Questions About Dog Walking in Cary
How much does dog walking cost in Cary?
A 15-minute potty stop is $21, a 20-minute walk is $24 and a 30-minute extended walk is $29. Schedule 20 or more walks a month on a recurring plan and each walk is 10% off. A dog that gets a midday walk has less pent-up energy, and for a lot of families that means less chewing and fewer accidents at home.
Are your Cary dog walkers background checked?
Yes. Everyone on our team is a W-2 employee who has passed a background check, and we’re bonded and insured. Our walkers aren’t independent contractors working several apps at once. They work for Peak City Puppy because they care about dogs and they take being trusted with yours seriously.
What areas of Cary do you serve?
All of Cary, in zip codes 27511, 27513, 27518 and 27519. That includes Lochmere, MacGregor Downs, Preston, Amberly, Carpenter Village, Cary Park, Regency, Wellsley, Highcroft and Copperleaf. Not sure about your address? Ask us and we’ll check for you.
Do you offer pet sitting in Cary?
Yes. We do in-home pet sitting, overnight pet sitting and cat sitting across Cary, plus new puppy care and boarding in a sitter’s home. Sitting visits are $24, $28 or $33 for 15, 20 or 30 minutes, and overnights in your home start at $149. Our sitters live within five miles of the families they care for, and your pets stay home where they’re comfortable.
How is Peak City Puppy different from Rover or Wag?
We hire W-2 employees, not gig workers, so your dog gets the same 1 to 2 primary walkers plus a backup team. People stay with us, too: our average team member has been here 2.9 years. We’ve served the Triangle since 2008, we have a 4.9 star rating from 432 Google reviews and we work with more than 400 active families. GPS tracking and photo updates come with every visit. There’s no contract, and you can cancel anytime.
What if my regular dog walker is sick or on vacation?
That’s what the team model is for. Your dog has 1 to 2 primary walkers, and they’re part of a bigger team. If your regular walker can’t make it, their backup covers the visit, so the walk still happens.
Do you offer last-minute dog walking in Cary?
Often, yes. Request it in the Time to Pet app as early as you can and mark it urgent, and we’ll work to cover it. Anything booked with less than 72 hours notice counts as last minute, so it isn’t guaranteed and a $10 convenience fee may apply.
Do you walk dogs on weekends and holidays?
Yes, we schedule weekend and holiday visits all over Cary. Holiday dates fill up first, so book those early.
