Keeping your dog safe and cared for is the number one priority of dog walkers working for Peak City Puppy. Each employee has been trained on how to keep your dog safe on walks.
Leash Type for Best Dog Walks
For dog safety, it is recommended to use a 4-6 foot standard nylon or leather leash with a secure clasp. If you normally utilize a harness or special walking gear, we can accommodate that as well. We will only walk dogs on standard length leashes and will not use any type of retractable leash. We want to make sure that we have control of your pet’s position and that there is no possibility of them running into a road or after another dog or animal. Professional dog walkers also have their own leashes and waste disposal bags to use if needed.
Safe Walking Routes for Your Puppy
The safety of your pet is the priority of Peak City Puppy. This means that we listen to you about routes, habits, pet preferences, pet concerns, and more. We also make sure to proactively watch out for and avoid any possible hazards on a walk. We will not approach other pets or people with your dog(s) in order to ensure there are no chances for difficult encounters. If needed, we will cross the street, change the route, or wait for others so that your pet can have guaranteed safety. We understand that your dog may be friendly or love greeting neighbors, but on a Peak City Puppy walk, walkers will keep the walk fun and beneficial without physically interacting with neighbors.
Weather Precautions for Dog Walks
It is important for dogs to have consistent walks for their physical and mental health. We will still walk your dog if it is hot, cold, raining, light, or dark. Precautions will always be taken for your pet. If the temperature is very high, walkers will avoid dark surfaces, keep walks short, and provide fresh water afterwards. If the temperature is very low, walkers will also keep walks short and allow your pet time to warm up. If there is any kind of severe weather, walkers will pay attention to alerts and warnings and keep your pet safe accordingly. One solution includes coming slightly earlier or later, avoiding the severe weather altogether. If the severe weather duration is extended, walkers can take your pet immediately outside for a quick potty and then spend more time together inside. Peak City Puppy always prioritizes your dog’s safety and will take care of them.
Trained Dog Walkers
At Peak City Puppy, all dog walkers are trained, and they are also W-2 employees. This means that your pets will meet the employee before any walks, and your pet will be taken care of by an employee. There are no contractors or third-party vendors. Feel confident in knowing the walkers that take care of your dog are part of the Peak City Puppy family.
Updates From Dog Walkers
One of the best parts about having a Peak City Puppy professional walk your dog is the updates you will get afterward! Each walk will be documented with photos or videos and a written update from your dog walker. Your client report will show the exact start and end time of the visit as well as the walk route. You will be confident that your dog got exactly what was promised, and you will have peace of mind seeing the happiness your dog experienced on their walk.
