Wake County continues to grow at a rapid pace, and as more people and pets arrive in the area, y’all might be wondering where to go for your pet sitting, dog walking, puppy visiting, and boarding needs. Look no further than Peak City Puppy, a staple that has been serving the triangle area since 2008.
Peak City Puppy History
Peak City Puppy was started in 2008 by Lesley White of Apex, North Carolina. Lesley wanted to provide a high quality, client-centered, safe experience to pet families in the triangle. Hiring W-2 employees, she was able to train staff and make sure each employee provided quality services, for each pet, at every visit. In 2022, Lesley retired and Jordan Blanton and her family took over the business. Jordan has continued growing the company ever since.
Prior to Peak City Puppy, Jordan owned a pet sitting business called My Furry Godmother, which was started in 2020. She serviced clients in Holly Springs and Fuquay Varina, putting peace of mind as a priority. She purchased Peak City Puppy in February, 2022, and merged the two businesses in January of 2023. In 2022, Peak City Puppy had a total of 22 employees. In May of 2025, Jordan purchased Kelly’s Kritters, which primarily served Youngsville, Wake Forest, and Rolesville.
Now hiring employees in Raleigh, Apex, Holly Springs, Fuquay, Wake Forest, Rolesville, Youngsville, and more, Peak City Puppy is able to care for pets all over Wake County.
Peak City Puppy’s Mission
Owner, Jordan Blanton, believes in being present in all that we do in our lives. She wants to make sure that when a pet owner is away, they can rely on Peak City Puppy and trust that their pet will be in excellent hands, so that they can focus on whatever they are doing while away. She states: “our clients can go out and be their best, most productive selves because we handle the mental load of their pet care.”

Who Will Care for My Pets?
Peak City Puppy employs 165 pet-obsessed W-2 employees who love caring for dogs, cats, and any other pets that you adore. We are the people known for saying “Can I pet your dog?” and “tell your cat I said hi!”
To illustrate our pet-obsession, I give you a personal story. I was recently traveling with my mom and son, and at the hotel we were staying at, we saw the cutest dachshund being taken on an elevator with his human. A day later, we were in our Uber, driving a few blocks away from the hotel, and I spotted him again on the sidewalk. I yelled to my mom and son- “there’s the dog we saw yesterday!! Aww, look at him walking! He is so adorable!!” My mom didn’t recall the dog at all, but she replied, “yes, that is the woman from the elevator.” I didn’t recall the woman from the elevator…
Do I make up nicknames when I meet your fur baby? Yes. Do I enjoy seeing him more than meeting people? Maybe. Do I tell my family about the seven cute things your pet did on my visit? Definitely. (And then she took her toy outside and went potty with the toy in her mouth still! You should have seen it!) Do I speak in weird pet voices? Possibly. Peak City Puppy is filled with employees that truly love pets- dog people, cat people, pet people.
Peak City Puppy is one of the best in the business, and we are here in Wake County to take care of your pets.
