Whether you’re a first-time client or an existing one, leaving your pet in the care of someone else can be difficult. At Peak City Puppy (PCP), our sitters are here to ease your worries by providing the best care and support for your pets.
Bonded, Insured, and Trained
Before employment, every sitter undergoes a thorough background check. PCP sitters complete in-person training using the Dog Walk Checklist to ensure all pet needs are met during the visit. This checklist includes food, water, medication, exercise, potty needs and general well-being. Peak City Puppy is also bonded and insured, providing an extra layer of protection for you, the owner, and your pets.
Visit Preparation
‘Meet and greets’ are the initial visit between you and your pet sitter. This is a vital component to building rapport between your pet and the sitter and to ensure the details of their care. Do you have a shy or nervous pet? No problem! Peak City Puppy is willing to schedule multiple meet-and-greets or short visits prior to your trip to build that valuable bond between sitter and pet.
Commitment to Exercise
Rain or shine, PCP sitters do their best to play and exercise with your pet! For dogs, walks are an important component of visits, unless you’ve instructed otherwise. Sitters want to know how your cat or dog likes to play and if they have a favorite toy or activity. Our goal is to provide mental and physical outlets for your pet. Safety and well- being is our number one priority!
Monitoring Health and Emergency Preparation
Our sitters monitor your pet’s well-being throughout scheduled visits. They will write notes summarizing each visit with pet including your pet’s mood and activities. Peak City Puppy has protocols in place to avoid emergencies, but we are prepared in rare instances if one occurs. When you fill out your profile on the Time to Pet app, there is a section to list your pet’s veterinarian and emergency contact number. In the rare case of an emergency, you will be immediately contacted by phone to get your permission and your pet to their veterinarian. Whether the emergency is minor or major, you will be informed and updated regularly.
Comfort During Inclement Weather or Events
Peak City Puppy has protocols in place for seasonal weather. During the summer, if temperatures reach above 90 degrees, dog walks are shorter and hot pavement is avoided. Indoor play is a great option during extreme heat and storms. We have similar guidelines for freezing cold weather. If your pet requires medication, our sitters are happy to administer it. Our goal is always to ensure your pet has a fun time while also being safe.
The value of using Peak City Puppy sitters is the assurance that your pet is well cared for while you’re away! Looking for a more in-depth article on our visit process?
