Did you know that Peak City Puppies hires employees and not contractors? Each person interacting with your pets is an actual employee not a contractor. The hiring process involves interviews, background checks, and onboarding training with evaluations. Why do you care? Because this information tells you Peak City Puppies is a reliable company and the person you are trusting your furry family member to not only is trained to care for your pet, they have available resources, checklists, and back up if and when needed.
Each employee has an employee handbook and checklists for their function within the company. We use the Time to Pet portal to track our time for your visits, monitor our schedules, and know our clients (both human and four legged). The company provides monthly newsletters with any and all-important updates. All employees are aware and sign off on company mandated safety measures put in place to protect your pets. As a company, safety is vital and we ensure your pet is well protected. There is always an administrator available for any emergencies, your pet and pet walker/sitter is never on their own.
Preparing for your scheduled service with Peak City Puppies is part of our job and one that is taken very seriously. Prior to the visit the Peak City Puppy employee will review the visit needs in the portal and ensure all is set up and ready to go for your visit time. We review the pet details in the portal and any instructions as needed. This is a great communication tool and it’s all in one place.
Prior to any scheduled services a first-time meeting or meet and greet occurs. Staff, human clients, and furry clients must all be a good fit and getting acquainted before scheduled services decreases anxiety for everyone. For an in-home sitter visits, we make sure if other dogs or human children are present in the sitter home the furry client fits in and is comfortable. All the humans talk about routine day to day care and ensure there are no logistical (stairs, yard, etc.) or other issues before the end of the meet and greet. For dog walkers the important information for how to enter the home (keys, keypad, etc), where to place any puppy waste, normal walk route for your puppy, can they have a treat and where is that located, all the important things are reviewed. Whatever service you require your Peak City Puppy employee will meet you and your pet and review all needed details to ensure a smooth visit occurs.
Returning customers utilizing the same employee do not need a meet and greet. Services are scheduled through the portal. You will receive a note via portal or text (your preferences can be communicated in the portal) confirming start or drop times. We at Peak City Puppies strive to ensure you and your pet are comfortable and tended while in our care. Preparation makes the entire process smoother.
